Ep. 152: Angela Nissel is the author of two books: the national best-selling comedic memoir The Broke Diaries and the award-winning Mixed. In addition to books, she’s also a television writer and producer. What has she done recently? Tyler the Creator’s The Jellies airing late 2017 on Adult Swim. She’s also written for Scrubs, Til Death, and The Boondocks.

Angela (originally from Philadelphia, and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania) co-founded OkayPlayer.com with her friend Ahmir Thompson (Questlove) of The Roots.

When not writing, Angela, who is now based in Hollywood, is giving back to the community in her role as a board member for The Unusual Suspects.
