On being an Iranian refugee in Finland, with comic Ali Jahangiri, Ep. 142

Ep. 142:  Ali Jahangiri, fled Iran with his parents in 1991. They were refugees seeking asylum in the United States.  However, they were waylaid by World events, and had to remain in Finland, where they had first moved.

Accordingly, Ali grew up as a Middle Easterner in a Muslim family in an overwhelmingly White, Christian nation.

After going to business school and becoming a consultant, Ali pivoted to a career in a comedy, where he focuses on skewering racial and ethnic stereotypes and prejudices.

Don’t miss this fascinating interview with a comic who speaks 4 languages and, through humor, is opening hearts and minds throughout the World.
