Ep. 103: Alexandra Stevenson is a professional tennis player.  She’s also multiracial.  She made her professional tennis debut in 1999 at Wimbledon, two weeks after graduating from high school. She was named rookie of the year by Tennis Magazine.

Alexandra’s mother, Samantha, is a noted sportswriter, who helped open the world of sports reporting to female reporters.

Alexandra’s father is NBA Hall of Famer, Julius “Dr. J” Erving.

Alexandra’s career suffered setback due to injury, but she’s now mounting a serious comeback.  Listen as she and her mom describe the road ahead as well as the road already traveled, along with issues of race and racism that have cropped up along the way for this Biracial daughter, White mother pair.
