Yom Kippur, Shabbat, and The Pope

We had a pretty big week here in NYC.

Let’s start with the big news:

1. Yogi Berra, passed away at 90.  If you love baseball, you love Yogi.  If you don’t know Yogi, he coined many famous phrases including: “It’s like déjà vu all over again.”

2. The Giants won their first game this football season.

3. It was Yom Kippur (not just in NYC, but I’m here, so that’s where it made it’s biggest impression upon me).  I repented.  I atoned.  I fasted.  And, I realized that repenting, atoning and fasting are not my core skill sets.

4. The Pope visited NYC and reminded us all, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, that the biggest problems we face today are Climate Change and obnoxious rich people.  It was very inspirational, and I can’t wait to team with Pope Francis and all the billions of people he inspired to work on getting rid of those problems.

So, that was the big week here in the Big Apple.  I hope your week was equally eventful and meaningful.

And, now I wish you a Shabbat Shalom – so you can relax, meditate, enjoy family, and gear up for our big efforts to eradicate Climate Change and those really annoying, obnoxious 1%’ers who keep telling us that money doesn’t change anything (which we might take seriously if we thought for a second that any of them even knew what a staycation was).
