Being Black, White, and Jewish; getting an education from the Black Panthers; and living in Seattle at the same time as Jimi Hendrix with author, TaRessa Stovall, Ep. 30

Ep. 30: TaRessa Stovall is Black, White, and Jewish.  She was raised in Seattle and in her formative years found herself involved with the Black Panthers and receiving the benefit of their educational outreach efforts.  She also remembers quite well the experience of being introduced to the music of fellow Seattle-ite, Jimi Hendrix.  Some time later, she left Seattle for Atlanta where she worked in public relations for Spelman College.

A mom of two, TaRessa is an author who writes frequently about questions of race and multiraciality, and talks candidly about her own multiracial experience and that of her children (whose father is Black).  For more about TaRessa, check out her blog, Black and Blewish (http://blackandblewish.com/) and her website: Taressa (http://www.taressa.com/).
